Gammagrafía cerebral: Resultados obtenidos durante el quinquenio 1971-1976

Abstract

Se indican los resultados obtenidos durante el quinquenio 1971-1976 al estudiar mediante gammagrafía cerebral, pacientes provenientes del Instituto de Oncología y Radiobiología, Instituto de Neurología y Neurocirugía y servicio de neurocirugía del hospital docente clinicoquirúrgico “General Calixto García". De los 657 pacientes estudiados, el gamma- grama ha sido positivo en 186. En tumores cerebrales se ha observado una positividad gammagráfica del 87%, así como el 38% en los AVE. Las investigaciones neurorradio- gráficas contrastadas han sido positivas en el 87% de los tumores y el 39% de las AVE. Se señala la alta precisión de la gammagrafía cerebral en el diagnóstico de las lesiones intracraneales supratentoriales y los signos directos que muestra al neurocirujano, y revela cómo la correlación gammagráfica-neurorradiográfica permite mejorar la actuación terapéutica sobre las enfermedades del Sistema Nervioso Central.
