Intensidad de la respuesta inmediata al tratamiento radiante como factor pronóstico en carcinomas de cavidad oral
Abstract
Se estudian 225 pacientes tratados con radiaciones ionizantes por padecer carcinomas de la cavidad oral (excluyendo labios); se correlacionan la persistencia o desaparición de la lesión al finalizar el tratamiento, con la evolución posterior. La frecuencia de recidivas fue significativamente mayor en aquéllos en quienes se mantenían activos los signos clínicos. Asimismo, hay relación entre el control de la lesión primaria y el aumento de la dosis. En aquellos pacientes con T3 y T4 que al finalizar el tratamiento, desapareció el tumor se consiguieron cifras de supervivencia entre el 30% y el 50%. El hecho de desaparecer la lesión al finalizar el tratamiento con radiaciones, constituye un buen factor pronóstico en la supervivencia.Downloads
