Complicaciones neuroftalmológicas de la diabetes mellitus
Abstract
Se presentan los resultados del estudio de un grupo de 25 pacientes diabéticos con manifestaciones neuroftalmológicas: disminución de la agudeza visual, parálisis del III y VI par, alteraciones del campo visual y atrofia óptica, que fueron acompañadas por cefalea, diplopía, ptosis palpebral, vértigos y visión nublada. Se señala también, la elevada incidencia en estos pacientes, de retinopatías y de cataratas. Las lesiones de los pares craneales siempre fueron unilaterales, y estaban distribuidas de forma similar la toma de la musculatura extrínseca, intrínseca o ambos del III par, lo que le quita valor a la toma selectiva extrínseca o intrínseca de este par craneal como expresión de la causa de este proceso.Downloads
