Meningoencefalítis tuberculosa. Estudio de las características anatomoclínicas de 35 pacientes

Abstract

Se analiza la casuística del Instituto de Neurología y Neurocirugía durante un período de 19 anos, encontrándose 35 pacientes con el diagnóstico de meningoencefalitis tuberculosa (m.e.T.B.j Se analizaron los siguientes aspectos: edad, sexo y raza; antecedentes personales y familiares de tuberculosis: síntoma inicial; cuadro clínico al ingreso; evolución clínica, errores diagnósticos, frecuencia por años; estudio del LCR; hallazgos en la radiografía de tórax; en la angiografía ca-otídea; electroencefalograma y eritrosedimenta- cion; ha lazgos neuropátológicos de 22 necropsias y el tratamiento médico y quirúrgico, be concluye que el diagnóstico y el tratamiento precoz constituyen los factores más importantes para determinar el pronóstico.
