Tumores de las glándulas paratiroides. Estudio anatomoclínico de 15 tumores en 13 pacientes
Abstract
Los tumores de las glándulas paratiroides constituyen un porcentaje muy pequeño dentro de las neoplasias en general y son de observación poco frecuente en la práctica clínica diaria. Se realizó un estudio morfológico de 15 de estos tumores en 13 pacientes, que macroscópicamente abarcó: localización, aspecto, forma, peso y tamaño del tumor, y microscópicamente: tipos celulares predominantes (semicuantitativamente), patrón hístico, mitosis, pleomorfismo celular y cambios degenerativos, correlacionándose con síntomas clínicos, participación ósea, renal, y cifras de calcio sérico. Se consideraron también las edades, sexo y raza de los pacientes, características biológicas del tumor y enfermedad tiroidea asociada. Catorce tumores fueron catalogados como adenomas y uno como carcinoma. No se encontró relación entre volumen, tamaño, patrón hístico, anisocitosis o tipo celular predominante y las cifras de calcio sérico o intensidad de los síntomas clínicos.Downloads
