Las malformaciones en el hijo de madre diabética

Abstract

Se informa la frecuencia de malformaciones en el producto de 55 gestaciones de madres diabéticas en diferentes estadios de la enfermedad. Se detecta una frecuencia del 7,6% para esta complicación, incidencia que se eleva en forma notable en los estudios de seguimiento pediátrico, independientemente del estadio de la enfermedad diabética. Las lesiones tuvieron una preponderancia sobre el esqueleto y el sistema nervioso, y repercutieron severamente sobre !a_morta- lidad neonatal en la serie, aunque esta causa no puede considerarse como responsable~3e los Tetos nacidos muertos. Debido a que la serie era reducida, no se pueden hacer conclusiones sobre les tratamientos utilizados ni de su posible implicación en esta complicación.
