Lidocaína en el tratamiento profiláctico de las disritmias ventriculares en el curso del infarto agudo del miocardio

Abstract

Se realiza un estudio de 54 pacientes con infarto agudo del miocardio, a los cuales se les administró de manera continua, durante 3 a 5 días, 1 mg de lidocaína por minuto; éstos se compararon con 18 pacientes de control a los que no se les administró la droga, y con lo re-portado por varios autores extranjeros que tampoco utilizaron profilácticamente la droga; se encontró una diferencia notable en la frecuencia de las disritmias ventriculares: 13,3% contra 46,6% dada por otros autores, y 72% del grupo control. Fue también menor el porcentaje de extrasístoles ventriculares peligrosos, taquicardias ventriculares y fibrilación ventricular en los pacientes tratados con lidocaína. No se encontraron diferencias significativas en la aparición y fallecimiento de los pacientes tratados con lidocaína y los de control que presentaron: bradicardia, insuficiencia cardíaca, bloqueos A-V y asistolia.
