Tratamiento del cáncer tiroideo con I 131 . Reporte de 52 casos
Abstract
Se reportan 52 casos de carcinoma ti-roideo tratados con I131 entre 1956 y 1965. Los conceptos anatomoclínicos y quirúrgicos en que se basa el tratamiento del cáncer de esta glándula, son presentados, insistiéndose en la importancia de la ablación quirúrgica total de la tiroides. Se ha resaltado el tratamiento quirúrgico y el estado clínico de nuestros pacientes antes del I131. De los 52 casos, sólo 2 han fallecido y hay 31 vivos sin signos de tumor. Se compara el resultado obtenido en funcion del tratamiento previo quirúrgico, del tipo histológico y del estado clínico en el momento del tratamiento con radio-iodo.Downloads
