Polimialgia reumática. Revisión de la literatura y presentación de un caso
Abstract
Se reporta el caso de un paciente de 56 años de edad, portador de una polimialgia reumática asociada a una arteritis, en el (jue los síntomas iniciales simularon un cuadro de abdomen agudo, apareciendo después el resto de las manifestaciones que permitieron su diagnóstico. Se señala el valor evolutivo de la eritrosedimentacion y Ja aparición en la biopsia de músculo gemelo de fibras aberrantes en anillo. Se realiza una extensa revisión de la literatura en cuanto al cuadro clínico, presencia de arteritis. alteraciones musculares, condiciones asociadas, exámenes de laboratorio, etiología y tratamiento.Downloads
