Estenosis mitral y epilepsia
Abstract
Se presentan cinco pacientes portadores de una estenosis mitral, cuyas manifestaciones clínicas iniciales consistieron en crisis epilépticas. Cuatro de ellos fueron operados, habiendo desaparecido las crisis en dos de los pacientes sin utilizar medicamentos antiepiléplicos. Se hace un análisis de los posibles mecanismos de producción del foco epileptógeno en la estenosis mitral, entre los que se señalan el embolismo, los trastornos del ritmo y la hipoxia cerebral.Downloads
