Abstract

Se estudiaron 38 pacientes con diagnóstico histológico de cirrosis hepática y sin manifestaciones hemorragíparas en el período comprendido entre enero de 1971 y junio de 1972 de los cuales 22 mostraron alguna alteración en el estudio de la coagulación. Se halló que Ja trombopenia y el déficit de los factores VII y X fueron los hallazgos más frecuentes. Uno de los casos era portador de una coagulación intravascular crónica con fibrinólisis reactiva. Se destaca la importancia del estudio de la coagulación como parámetro de función hepática va que puede encontrarse' alterado aun cuando otros estudios resulten negativos. Se recomienda el estudio sistemático de la coagulación en pacientes cirróticos, aun en ausencia cíe manifestaciones purpúrieas o hemorrágicas.
