Intoxicación aguda por ácido sulfídrico Revisión de la entidad y presentación de cinco casos

Abstract

Se realiza un estudio de los aspectos epidemiológico y clínico de la intoxicación, tanto aguda como crónica, producida por el ácido sulfhídrico. Se estudian las vías de absorción, eliminación, toxicidad y patogenia del referido ácido. Se revisa la profilaxis individual y colectiva de la citada intoxicación. Se señala un estudio particular de la planta industrial “Pedro Soto Alba”, de Moa, en relación con la presencia de gas en sus distintos departamentos. Se presentaron por primera vez en Cuba cinco casos de intoxicación aguda por el ácido sulfhídrico. Se observa la loma neurológica violenta de los casos estudiados con muy poca alteración ocular. Se plantean, la recuperación franca y total de todos los casos, así como la no presencia ds secuelas.
