Hipotiroidismo-gulactorrea-amenorrea: Asociación poco frecuente
Abstract
Se presentan cuatro casos de hipotiroidismo primario y galactorrea, asociados, en dos de ellos, a amenorrea, representando los casos 15 y 16 reportados en la literatura, y los primeros en nuestro medio. Se destacan las características clínicas que aparecen al inicio de la enfermedad, así como la importancia diagnóstica de la respuesta de los síntomas al tratamiento sustitulivo. Uno de los casos presentó silla turca balonada con dorso adelgazado, lo que es de rara observación en el hipotiroidismo primario y obliga a su diferenciación con el hipotiroidismo secundario de causa tumoral hipofisaria. Se discuten las distintas hipótesis que tratan de explicar la hiperproducción de prolactina en estos casos. Se recomienda investigar la función tiroidea en todo paciente portador de galactorrea, sobre todo si está asociada a amenorrea.Downloads
