Cáncer del páncreas. Estudio de 100 casos
Abstract
Se presenta un estudio de 100 casos de cáncer del páncreas en el período comprendido de 1975 a 1984. El diagnóstico se fundamentó en estudios histopatológicos tanto de los fallecidos como de los sometidos a intervención quirúrgica. La mayor incidencia se presentó entre los 60 y 69 años en la raza blanca y en el sexo masculino. El síndrome general, el dolor, el íctero y el prurito, fueron los síntomas y signos de mayor frecuencia. La eritrosedimentación, la fosfatasa alcalina, la bilirrubina, la ecografía, la angiografía selectiva, entre otras, fueron las de más importancia. De nuestros 100 casos, 42 fueron intervenidos quirúrgicamente, mientras que el resto recibió tratamiento paliativo o con 5-fluoracilo. Se revisa el tema y se comparan nuestros resultados con los de otros autores.Downloads
