Influencia de la obesidad en el metabolismo lipidico en pacientes diabéticos después de su control metabólico

Abstract

Se estudiaron 92 pacientes diabéticos, 83 obesos y 109 no obesos sometidos a diferentes terapéuticas. Los resultados muestran que la obesidad no desempeña un papel importante en el grado de control metabòlico logrado a corto plazo en los diabéticos descontrolados, estando este más estrechamente relacionado con la terapéutica empleada. La presencia de hlperlipoproteinemia secundaria al descontrol metabòlico no constituye un impedimento para el control metabòlico glicémico en el diabético, salvo en los pacientes nor- mopesos tratados con compuestos orales hipoglicemiantes.
