Enfermedad de Alzheimer o demencia presenil tipo 1. Presentación de un caso

Abstract

Se describe el caso de un paciente que presenta demencia presenil tipo 1 o enfermedad de Alzheimer, cuyo diagnóstico se corroboró mediante la tomografía axial computarizada. Se comenta el diagnóstico diferencial con otras entidades que pueden producir un síndrome demencial en la edad presenil. Se resalta el hecho de haberse iniciado el cuadro clínico de nuestro enfermo a raíz de un proceso lesivo, en este caso un politraumatismo, lo que plantea una vez más la interrogante de que este proceso patológico puede tratarse de una reacción general del cerebro a una noxa determinada.
