Ceruloplasmína, técnica modificada

Abstract

El incremento y el prefeccionamiento del arsenal tecnológico que requiere el laboratorio clínico es una necesidad imperiosa, como ayuda al diagnóstico, al pronóstico, a los mo- nitoreos de las enfermedades, etcétera. La determinación de la ceruloplasmina es de suma importancia en diversas enfermedades y entre éstas las neoplasias malignas. El cobre y la ceruloplasmina ofrecen resultados que se correlacionan. Esto nos permite sustituir la determinación del cobre por el de la ceruloplasmina, la que está al alcance de cue -lquier laboratorio. La técnica de Ravin fue modificada por nosotros y este trabajo consiste en demostrar las ventajas de esta modificación. Se demostró que cambiando el pH del amortiguador de 5,5 a 5,0 baja el 50% del costo y hace posible su ejecución mecanizada. A la técnica modificada se le realizaron estudios de control de calidad, entre éstos, confiabilidad por estudios interlaboratorios, con resultados satisfactorios.
