Poblaciones linfoides, nivel de inmunoglobulinas y sistema complemento en personas sanas de 65 ó más años
Abstract
Se determinó el nivel de linfocitos T y B en sangre periférica, el nivel de las inmuno- globulinas IgG, IgA e IgM y la actividad hemolítica total del sistema completo en un grupo de 20 personas de 65 años o más, no diabéticos, con pulsos palpables en ausencia de soplos en el examen vascular periférico, que negaban historia de claudicación intermitente y sin otra enfermedad clínicamente manifiesta. Los resultados se compararon con los de un grupo de donantes supuestamente sanos menores de 45 años. Se observó un aumento significativo de la IgG entre los ancianos y una disminución también significativa de los linfocitos T. La concentración de IgA y la actividad hemolítica del complemento igualmente estaban aumentadas en los ancianos, aunque la diferencia respecto al grupo control no alcanzó significación estadística. Se comparan los resultados obtenidos con los informados en la literatura médica.Downloads
