Análisis e información estadística de 435 historias clínicas de los pacientes egresados del Servicio de Neumología desde el 1ro de marzo hasta el 31 de agosto de1970

Abstract

El mayor porcentaje de casos ingresados presentaba neumopatías infecciosas. En 63.3% de estas neumopatías se observaron otras patologías asociadas. El 59.5% de los mismos eran pacientes mayores de 60 años de edad Un alto índice de pacientes, 65 de 135 (14.9%) egresaron con el diagnóstico de cáncer del pulmón, unos comprobados por citología, biopsia y/vr necropsia y otros con diagnóstico clinicorradiológico. La mayoría de los pacientes (88%) ingresó en el hospital en una etapa muy avanzada: Estadio IV. La gran mayoría de los pacientes (88%) portadores de cáncer del pulmón eran grandes fumadores.
