Psicofisiopatología de los trastornos de la conciencia

Abstract

Se trata el tema de la conciencia, se enfatiza en lo complejo del mismo y en la confusión terminológica que existe al respecto. Se destacan algunos aspectos filosóficos fundamentales y posteriormente se analiza el proceso de conciencia desde los ángulos neurofisíológico y psicológico. Se describen los diferentes tipos de información que intervienen en el fenómeno de la conciencia. Se ensaya una definición de la misma, como categoría científíco-natural. Luego, se plantea una clasificación de los trastornos de la conciencia, los cuales se dividen en tres grupos: 1) trastornos de los dispositivos de vigilia, 2) trastornos generalizados de los dispositivos de síntesis, y 3) trastornos parciales de los dispositivos de síntesis. Finalmente, se describen las características y componentes de cada grupo.
