SENILIDAD Y CAUSAS DE MUERTE
Abstract
Se revisan las causas de muerte en los hospitales docentes "Manuel Ascunce Domenech", "Amalia Simoni" y "Madame Curie", de Camagüey, así como 200 necropsias de pacientes seniles del primero de estos hospitales, en el año 1977, y se encuentra que las primeras causas de muerte en el anciano corresponden a enfermedades cerebrovasrulares. neumonías, tumores malignos, incluidas neoplasias de tejido linfático y órganos hematopoyéticos. En el hospital docente "Madame Curie" (Oncológico) se presentan como sus tres primeras causas de muerte: neoplasias broncopulmonares, tumores malignos de laringe y enfermedad de Hodgkin. Otros hallazgos necrópsicos con porcentajes muy bajos son encontrados mayormente en el aparato digestivo.Downloads
