Infarto de miocardio en edades tempranas de la vida
Abstract
Se revisa el material clínico de 18 meses con el objeto de valorar el número de ingresados por infarto del miocardio en edades menores de 40 años. Esta entidad va en progresión en los últimos arios. Se encuentran 15 pacientes menores de 39 años con diagnóstico de infarto de miocardio, y «n ellos estudiamos los aspectos clínicos que Iludieran dar individualidad al infaito del miocardio en pacientes jóvenes. Las características de estos enfermos son: predominio del sexo masculino, enfetmos con mayor actividad manual, sometidos a tensión emocional importante, la mayoría fumadores. Los (actores de riesgo fueron significativos, tales como diabetes mellitus, hipercolesterolemia, obesidad y hábito de fumar. En estos pacientes el dolor es de mayor significación, mayor intensidad y mucho más prolongado. Pudimos constatar que la causa de muerte en nuestro único paciente fallecido fue un tromboembolismo pulmonar y shock cardiogénico, quien era diabético. Se analizan los tipos de infarto, complicaciones y evolución de los mismos. Se revisa la literatura médica y se hacen comparaciones con los resultados de otros autores.Downloads
