Función pulmonar en el paciente sicklémico

Abstract

Se presentan los resultados de un estudio sobre la función respiratoria en enfermos sicklémicos homocigóticos realizado en el hospital provincial docente “Saturnino Lora", de Santiago de Cuba. Se destaca lo frecuente de las infecciones respiratorias en estos enfermos, así como las alteraciones cardiorrespiratorias evidenciadas en el telecardiograma y electrocardiograma; el estado hipóxico crónico; los desequilibrios acidob&sicos; y los resultados de las pruebas funcionales respiratorias que mostraron una capacidad vital baja V un patrón obstructivo, fundamentalmente.
