Factores ambientales en relación con la evolución del asma bronquial con especial referencia al keroseno
Abstract
Se realizo un estudio sobre la influencia de los factores ambientales en la evolución del asma bronquial: se hace especial hincapié en el efecto real del keroseno en nuestro país, donde es utilizado ampliamente como combustible y con otros propósitos. Se plantea que los pacientes procedían de nuestro consultorio en el policlínico “Asclepios” durante el período comprendido entre noviembre de 1973 y septiembre de 1978. Se estableció un criterio diagnóstico basado en: la historia familiar; edad de comienzo; pruebas funcionales respiratorias; tests cutáneos; eosinofilia en sangre; y estudio clínico completo. Se analizó la evolución del estado de estos pacientes, quienes fueron tratados en forma similar, y se comparó dicha evolución con los factores ambientales a que habían estado o estaban expuestos. Se revisó la literatura médica disponible y se presentan los resultados correspondientes, así como la discusión de los mismos. Se extrajeron de dicho estudio las conclusiones pertinentes.Downloads
