Abstract

Se presenta el resultado de 5 años de trabajo en la UCCI en nuestro hospital. El número de ingresos con infarto agudo del miocardio fue de 307 casos. En cuanto a la letalidad ésta fue de 18,8%, siendo mayor en la mujer. En ambos sexos guarda una relación directa con la edad. La letalidad fue mayor en los infartos de cara anterior, aunque la incidencia del infarto de cara diafragmática fue ligeramente mayor. En nuestro trabajo explicamos las distintas complicaciones que presentaron los pacientes, tales como trastornos del ritmo y trastornos de conducción. Otro aspecto que tratamos fue el relacionado con algunos factores del riesgo coronario. También nos referimos a la importancia de la rehabilitación en el IM. Por último nos referimos a la prevención primaria del infarto del miocardio.
