Tromboembolismo del seno cavernoso. Presentación de cinco pacientes

Abstract

Se estudian cinco pacientes con trombosis del seno cavernoso; todos eran jóvenes entre 25 y 38 años de edad (3 mujeres y 2 hombres). Se realiza una revisión del tema, desde el punto de vista anatómico, clínico y patogénico; se insiste en que lo principal para la vida de estos pacientes es la instauración precoz de la terapéutica y como prevención tratar adecuadamente los focos piógenos de las regiones cuya sangre drena en los senos endocraneales.
