Síndrome de Romano-Ward. Presentación de un caso y estudio familiar
Abstract
Se presenta el caso de una paciente de 19 años de edad, sin antecedentes mórbidos cardiovasculares, que ingresa por mareos y síncopes (requiriendo estos últimos de maniobras de resucitación); estos hechos se repiten bajo nuestra observación y documentación de un Q-T prolongado en el ECG y arritmias ventriculares, sin daño estructural cardio-vascular. Se descartan causas secundarias de elongación del O-T y malformaciones anatómicas, por la clínica, ECG, fonomecanocardiografía, radiología y determinación de oxígeno en cámaras derechas y arteriales. Se excluye la hipoacusia neurosensorial clínica y audiométricamente. Se hace notar que es el primer caso en Cuba que reúne los carac-teres del síndrome de Romano-Ward. Se estudia la familia, encontrándose dos parientes directamente relacionados (madre y una hermana) altamente sospechosos de padecer la misma alteración; se discuten la patogenia, evolución, acción de drogas y progresos terapéuticos.Downloads
