Sobre la supresión de la palabra lepra
Abstract
El autor hace referencia a las reiteradas veces que han sido presentadas, sin éxito distintas proposiciones en diferentes congresos internacionales de leprología, para eliminar la palabra lepra de la nomenclatura médica, por motivos humanitarios. Se opone, con argumentos, a tal eliminación, por entender que con la supresión de ese nombre no se obtendrá gran beneficio y además, se corre el riesgo de crear confusiones. Asimismo, opina el autor que las fallas de la educación sanitaria en la lepra son debidas fundamentalmente, a que no se practica cuanto se sabe.Downloads
