Volumen corpuscular medio e índice de Ameth. Estudio en un grupo de pacientes epilépticos

Abstract

Se estudia, en un consultorio para epilépticos, un grupo de pacientes desde el punto de vista hemático, y se determinan: el hemograma, volumen corpuscular medio (VCM) e índice de Ameth (IA). Se estudiaron en total 39 pacientes. El VCM se determinó en 34, el cual estuvo alterado en 25 pacientes. El IA se valoró en 33 y fue anormal en 27. De los 9 pacientes con VCM normal, en 5 el IA se mostró con desviación a la derecha. La anemia se presentó sólo en 3 pacientes; en todos el IA mostró desviación a la derecha y en 2 el VCM fue anormal. Se exponen conclusiones.
