¿Son nuestras relaciones médico-paciente exitosas?

Abstract

Se plantea que se hace necesario, basado en el criterio de que algunos médicos subva-i loran la relación médico-paciente en su ejercicio profesional, exponer algunas referencias bibliográficas, acerca de actividades experimentales para lograr el perfeccionamiento de médicos generales; se señala la necesidad de establecer un concepto operativo de la relación médico-paciente, destacar sus diferencias con otros tipos de relaciones interpersonales, valorar sus aspectos fundamentales y señalar los errores más frecuentes en el desarrollo de esta relación; se proponen, finalmente, algunas sugerencias para optimizar ésta, debido a la fundamental importancia que tiene dicha relación para el desarrollo de la práctica profesional.
