Asociación de diabetes mellitus e hipotiroidismo primario
Abstract
Se presentan los resultados del estudio de 15 pacientes portadores de la asociación diabetes mellitus e hipotiroidismo primario. Todos eran de la raza blanca y del sexo femenino: 12 eran mayores de 50 años de edad. La diabetes mellitus fue no insulino- dependiente tipo III en 12 pacientes; en 2 era insulinodependiente tipo I y en 1 fue diabetes latente. En 9 pacientes, primero comenzó el hipotiroidismo; en 4, la diabetes mellitus; y en otros 2 aparecieron simultáneamente ambas afecciones. No encontramos modificaciones en la evolución de la diabetes con las dosis de tiroides administradas. Se consideran algunos aspectos patogénicos y se comparan nuestros resultados con los aparecidos en la literatura médica.Downloads
