Feocromocitoma: Presentación de los casos de localización en los órganos de Zuckerkandl

Abstract

Se presentan los casos de dos pacientes portadores de feocromocitoma del órgano de Zuckcrkandl. Ss revisan aspectos relacionados con la embriogénesis, clínica, patogénesis y diagnóstico de estos tumores. Se señala la presencia de hipovolemia y colapso vascular periférico en nuestros dos pacientes, y se plantea el shock como complicación frecuente en la evolución del feocromocitoma, que es de gran valor para el diagnóstico diferencial con la hipertensión esencial, en la cual es raro que ocurran la hipovolemia y el colapso vascular periférico. Finalmente se señala la extirpación quirúrgica como el único proceder terapéutico de utilidad en estos tumores.
