El primer caso de "hermafroditismo" descrito en Cuba: un diagnóstico retrospectivo
Abstract
Se revisa, con los conocimientos actuales de genética y hormonología, el primer informe realizado en nuestro país por el doctor Tomás Romay. en 1813, sobre un paciente con anomalías de la diferenciación sexual. En este trabajo se destaca el valor histórico de la publicación hecha por Romay en aquella época, así como el método deductivo utilizado para realizar el diagnóstico de la entidad.Downloads
