Abstract

Se revisan las complicaciones ocurridas en 1 000 arteriografías transfemorales realizadas por el método de Seldinger. La casuística fue devidida en dos grandes grupos: hipertensos y normotensos. Se plantea que el mayor número de pacientes examinados coinciden en el grupo de edad de 30 a 59 años. Se aprecia mayor número de complicaciones en los pacientes normotensos. El total de complicaciones representa el 12% de los estudios realizados, y según los criterios empleados, sólo el 0,9% son clasificados como mayores. Se enfatiza el trabajo en equipo y la experiencia de los investigadores, así como en el valor del seguimiento angiológico habitual en las primeras horas después del estudio.
