Diabetes melitus e hipertensión arterial. Análisis de los fallecidos en la provincia
Abstract
Se estudian 70 hipertensos dentro de un grupo de 897 diabéticos fallecidos en la provincia de Camagüey desde 1969 a 1973. Se plantea que aunque la tendencia general en la provincia es hacia un aumento de la cantidad de estos fallecidos, sólo las regionales de Camagüey y Nuevitas muestran un aumento absoluto en el número de sus casos. Entre los diabéticos hipertensos fallecidos predominan los del sexo femenino y los mayores de 65 años de edad. Se revisa la literatura médica y se exponen las teorías que se invocan para explicar la asociación de la diabetes meliitus con la hipertensión arterial.Downloads
