Estudio de la mortalidad por cardiopatías isquémicas en la regional Matanzas
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio de la mortalidad por cardiopatías isquémicas (Cl) en la región de Matanzas, Cuba, la cual cuenta con 103 053 habitantes mayores de 14 años; mediante una encuesta entre los familiares, se logró registrar el 90,8%. La tasa de mortalidad encontrada fue de 208,5 X 100 000 habitantes, superior a la oficial de 140,7% debido a los frecuentes errores en certificados de defunción. Sobrevivió solamente el 40% de los 358 casos de Cl agudas diagnosticadas ese año; y el diagnóstico fue confirmado en un 75%. Además, se observó que predominó en los hombres mayores de 65 años y de la raza blanca. Se analiza la importancia de la oclusión coronaria como causa de mortalidad por infarto del miocardio.Downloads
