Incidencia de la diabetes mellitus en madres de macrofetos
Abstract
Se presenta la metodología utilizada y los resultados de una encuesta para conocer la incidencia de diabetes mellitus (DM) entre madres de macrofetos. Se comenta la mayor frecuencia de DM hallada, en comparación con la detectada en la población general o en sexo femenino: se analizan los índices de pesquisaje utilizados. Se analiza la correlación de DM con la edad, procedencia, raza, peso al nacer de la paciente, peso del feto, paridad, antecedentes familiares de DM y patología obstétrica existente. Se insiste en la similitud del síndrome prediabético, diabetes mellitus potencial (DMP) con la diabetes mellitus comprobada (DMC), así como en la importancia de su diagnóstico y su tratamiento precoz y adecuado.Downloads
