Labor realizada en el hospital diurno del Servicio de Psiquiatría del Hospital Docente "Cmdte. M. Fajardo”

Abstract

Nuestro Hospital de Día está basado en los principios generales que existen para este tipo de servicios, y que plantean, esta forma de tratamiento para muchos casos psiquiátricos que no están lo suficientemente mal como para ser ingresados y tampoco tan bien como para ser atendidos por Consulta Externa en turnos muy distantes. Además, que la corriente moderna existente con el advenimiento de los psicofármacos y un mayor énfasis en la laborterapia y psicoterapia de grupo, hacen que se in-cline el psiquíatra a tratar un mayor número de pacientes en forma ambula-toria, con buenos resultados terapéuticos y económicos entre otros.
