Abstract

El advenimiento del A.C.T.H. y los esteroides suprarrenales, ha beneficiado indiscutiblemente a la patología pulmonar más que a ninguna otra. Su acción antialérgica, antiinflamatoria, antifibro- blástica y las modificaciones que produce en la respuesta del tejido mesenquimatoso frente a cualquier tipo de agente patógeno, VA?.®.8.7 ha determinado que su uso se generalice a tal extremo que se peca por el abuso de los mismos y en más de una oportunidad con resultados funestos, sobre todo cuando se los usa liberalmente, frente a cualquier otro proceso, sin tener cuidado de efectuar un control pulmonar previo.s-9>10 Los que trabajamos en patología torácica, hemos tenido ocasión de ver reactivaciones de lesiones tuberculosas desconocidas y aún conocidas, por el uso de corticoides, sin la adecuada protección o estudio.
