Prediabetes y embarazo

Abstract

Se destaca la importancia del diagnóstico del síndrome prediabético para la profilaxis de la mortalidad perinatal, abortos espontáneos, prematuridad. Se enumeran los signos en que descansa el diagnóstico del síndrome prediabético. Se valora el papel que juega el partero en el descubrimiento de la población que se encuentra sometida al riesgo de diabetes. Se hacen consideraciones sobre la profilaxis de la diabetes en estas pa-cientes. Se presentan dos casos demostrativos. Queremos expresar nuestro reconocimiento al compañero Boris, técnico de laboratorio que realizó las pruebas sin cuyo concurso iros hubiera sido muy difícil este trabajo.
