La 10-Metoxt Deserpidina en Alergia

Abstract

Se estudia en este trabajo el mecanismo de acción de los fenómenos alérgicos. De acuerdo con experiencias realizadas por otros investigadores, hay dos substancias principales que los determinan: la histamina y la serotonina. La serpentina es una substancia antiserotonínica. Basándonos en esta acción antiserotonínica de los alcaloides de la Rauwolfia serpentina se emplea la 10- metoxi-deserpidina en el tratamiento de dermatosis alérgicas resistentes al tratamiento de antihistamínicos, con resultados altamente favorables.
