Cardíaca Arrhythmias Associated with chemotherapy

Abstract

Introducción: La morbilidad asociada a la cardiotoxicidad por quimioterapia es elevada a nivel mundial. Las arritmias cardíacas constituyen una forma frecuente de complicaciones en los pacientes oncológicos.

 

Objetivo: Describir las alteraciones del ritmo cardiaco en pacientes oncológicos sometidos a tratamiento con quimioterapia.

Métodos: Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica de 14 documentos actualizados. Se aplicó el método del análisis-síntesis para la confección del informe final. Se emplearon los recursos disponibles en la red Infomed para la selección de la información en PubMed y SciELO.

Conclusiones: Las arritmias cardíacas por el uso de agentes quimioterapéuticos ocurren antes, durante y después de su empleo. Se presentan de forma variada como taquiarritmias o bradiarritmias.
