Diagnostic Accuracy Tools for True Clinical Use

The clinical approach constitutes the initial semiological step. Currently it is strongly supported by evidence, so adapting the indications of the diagnostic tests to the clinical findings, will help in the clinical reasoning process, based on knowledge of probabilities such as (pre-test and post-test).
As a result, a more effective and higher quality medical care be attained.
The objective of the present review is to provide an opinion based on the correct use of diagnostic tests in the clinical context.
