Elementos epidémicos (caspa y pelos) de procedencia animal desde el punto de vista alergenico

Abstract

Se hace una revisión del papel alergénico de los pelos y la caspa de los animales que con más frecuencia se relacionan con el microclima de los pacienles alérgicos en nuestro medio. Se incluyen datos relativos al papel que como tales, pueden desempeñar el pelo y la caspa humanos en determinadas ocasiones, y se señalan la frecuencia e intensidad con que los extractos de estos alérgenos reaccionan en nuestros pacientes con manifestaciones clínicas de alergia, comparativamente con los mismos datos obtenidos del estudio de pacientes que se suponen no alérgicos. Se utilizan fundamentalmente las intradermorreacciones directas y la técnica de transferencia pasiva (PIO) estableciéndose por último, criterios de diagnóstico de este tipo de sensibilizaciones.
