Abstract

Se hace una revisión de la literatura sobre el “adenoma bronquial” con análisis de los criterios histomorfológico y clinicoanatomopatológico y se presenta un caso personal para llamar la atención sobre el diagnóstico por biopsia durante una fase activa de la enfermedad. Para ello hay que tener presente los criterios clásicos y contemporáneos antes expuestos. Se señala la importancia del estudio biópsico mediante toracotomía como única posibilidad para aclarar la naturaleza, el tipo histomorfológico, pronóstico, clinicoanatomo-patológico así como las posibilidades terapéuticas del tumor carcinoide del pulmón que ha sido diagnosticado clínicamente como neoplasia pulmonar irresecable.
