Diabetes insípida pitresín sensible. Empleo de la clorpropamida en su tratamiento. Revisión de la literatura
Abstract
Se presenta una paciente portadora de diabetes insípida pitresín sensible, en cuyo tratamiento se ha empleado la clorpropamida, obteniéndose buenos resultados. Se hace una revisión de la literatura y se comprueba que todavía no está totalmente aclarado el mecanismo por el cual se ejercita la acción de este medicamento. Entre las reacciones reportadas, la más frecuente está la hipoglicemia (aunque no se señala así por todos los autores) asociada en algunas oportunidades a procesos sépticos o insuficiencia anterohipofisiaria. Se concluye que las dosis de clorpropamida empleadas han variado entre 250 a 1 000 ing, observándose su acción en las primeras 24 horas y manteniéndose en ocasiones su efecto hasta los 7 días.Downloads
