Abstract

Se presenta una revisión estadística de 200 casos de H.T.A. en pacientes menores de 55 años, registrados en el Dpto. de Archivo y Estadística del Hospital Provincial Docente “Manuel Ascunce Domenech”, en Camagücy. Se determina que la incidencia de H.T.A. fue mayor en las mujeres de la raza blanca y que se encontraban entre la 5ta y 6ta. décadas de su vida. Se concluye que se hace imprescindible la correcta aplicación de las normas aprobadas en concepto, clasificación, diagnóstico y terapéutica de la H.T.A., así como realizar un mayor esfuerzo que mejore el estudio de los hipertensos en nuestro medio.
