Fallecidos por tromboembolismo pulmonar, años 1982-1983

Abstract

Se revisaron 648 protocolos de autopsias del año 1982 y 725 del año 1983 del Departamento de Anatomía Patológica del Hospital Provincial Docente "Manuel Ascunce Domenech” de Camagüey, y se halló que 73 y 97 fallecidos presentaron tromboembolismo pulmonar, respectivamente. Se advirtió una mayor incidencia en el grupo de edad de 60 a 69 años, así como que el sexo femenino fue ligeramente más afectado. Las ramas vasculares finas y éstas en conjunto con las ramas medianas, fueron las más afectadas. Algo más de la mitad de los fallecidos mostró infartos hemorrágicos. Los infartos sépticos fueron advertidos en un grupo pequeño de fallecidos, y son las causas más sobresalientes de ésta la endocarditis bacteriana y la sepsis generalizada. Las afecciones acompañantes más frecuentemente encontradas en estos fallecidos correspondieron a las enfermedades cardiovasculares y las quemaduras, y es esta última más frecuente en las mujeres jóvenes.
