Litiasis renal: alteraciones del metabolismo calciofosfórico y la función paratiroidea en 100 pacientes

Abstract


Con el propósito de conocer la frecuencia de alteraciones metabólicas. calciofosfóricas y de hiperparatiroidismo primario (HPTP) como causa de la nefrolitiasis urinaria, se estudió un grupo de 100 pacientes con litiasis renal, atendidos en las consultas del INEN. En el 70 % de los casos se detectó hipercalciuria, en el 56 % hiperfosfaturia, en el 43 % hipercalcemia y en el 24 % hipofosfaturia. El 46 % de los pacientes con hipercalciuria mostraron una disminución del aciaramiento renal fosfórico (ARF) y aumentada reabsorción tubular de fósforo (RTF). La prueba de frenaje paratiroideo por sobrecarga de calcio fue positiva en el 45 % de los casos y la prueba de estimulación con glucocorticoides en el 40 %, de un grupo de 58 pacientes.
