El paciente geriátrico hospitalizado
Abstract
Se realiza un estudio de 136 pacientes geriátricós hospitalizados en el Hospital Docente Clinicoquirúrgico "10 de Octubre". En el análisis de los resultados se destacan algunos aspectos como son: la prolongada estadía y la frecuencia de complicaciones en algunos servicios, la procedencia directa desde su domicilio y con mayor frecuencia el paciente del sexo femenino, así como la falta de un programa de atención a los mismos, a pesar de haberse incrementado el número de pacientes geriátricós hospitalizados por haber aumentado el promedio de vida de la población.Downloads
